Long Weekend

As always, holidays or days away from work whisked by and is over in a flash. That is what it is for the last 3 days.

Friday is a public holiday; Hari Raya.

Half minded on where to go, 3 of us slept in till 9+ in the morning which is a rare treat since Zethan usually wakes around 7-ish or latest 8-ish. Half the morning gone, another half of the afternoon on household chores. What is even more a rare treat is Zethan napping for a good 3 hours which happen only once in a super blue moon these days. Anything more than 2 hours is a bonus.

While on the road, made a last minute decision to have Golden Mile claypot rice for dinner so made a call to pre-order. Zethan had his 1st claypot rice. I had a bowl of Ah Balling as dessert but find that the fillings is too sweet for my liking. Plan to Suntec City was changed to Clarke Quay instead since there is an on-going lantern festival fair and Taiwan food fair. This is also the 1st time we went CQ as a family of 3 but it is not a wise choice, the whole of CQ is very very packed thus left the place empty handed.

Saturday, daddy is working thus no chance for me to sleep in. Zethan spoilt the morning by fussing, refusing to drink his milk, having less than half in 30mins out of which I lost my limited patience. To worsen the situation, he turn over the laundry rack, more work for me. He must have been tired out by the meltdown read crying that he went for an early nap.

Suggesting to have an evening picnic, that's if the weather permits which looks great for the whole day. Made Zethan nap at about 4pm and I went online for our discussion on the logistics for the picnic! So in less than 30mins, we got ourselves food and the whats not for a picnic, all set to go.

Meeting point at Visitor centre and walked 5mins to the so called picnic ground. Set out the picnic mat and no mess mat, spread out the food and all start to dig in. Yummy Dominos pizza ~ Extravanganza, Meatzza, wings, garlic breadstic, Sakae Sushi ~ Potato salad, Tomago maki, some salmon platter with a bottle of cool nice white wine. After food is bubbles time for the kiddos which attract a lot of other children in the vicinity. A great picnic, great company, great chilling out!

Sun ~Try very hard to laze around in bed, managed to steal some time! Upon waking is busy like a bee, preparing porridge for Zethan, packing his stuff, getting him and myself ready. Left the house at 12pm reaching Mandarin Oriental at 12.30pm in time for a wedding luncheon.

Zethan is so shy throughout the whole dinner when so many of our friends wish to play with him but to no avail. Though he is playful yet still reserved with them thus end up being a koala bear. On a positive note, he is very well behaved today, napping for 30mins amid the banquet and upon waking, stayed in his stroller and enjoyed the yummy food which he ate quite a bit which is a surprise. Braised herbal duck, cod fish, fried mantou minus the chilli crab sauce.

We went up to the bridal suite and Zethan stayed glued to the TV watching Monsters vs Aliens, concentrating very seriously on the show which tickled everyone pink as they tried hard to distract him away from the show.

So that pretty sum it up for the long weekend and till the next PH which will be in Nov. Oh man, how am I going to survive a whole month in Oct with no breaks!
