Zelyn's Terrific 2 Part III

Honestly I have no idea what have been keeping me so so busy to the point there is totally no update for this poor blog! One of the possible reason being the absence of a personal laptop which hinder the posting process, alright sound absolutely a lousy excuse. I can only hope the I will be more hardworking in updating though it's highly challenging now backdating the blog to 8 months ago!!!! Wish me luck....

Okay back to the topic.

We did a short road trip to Malacca on 19 July 2015 which could be considered as part of her birthday celebration but mainly is for the whole family to eat & have fun. Malacca became the ideal location since we are able to get good rate at one of the highly popular and accessible hotel and it is merely 2+ hours drive, perfect for the fussy pot who might not like to be restrained on her throne for too long. Decide to do a relax road trip so did not make an effort to wake earlier and leave earlier. half relying on GPS and half relying on 'human GPS' (your truly me), we did a stop over for a quick meal before continuing the journey lest we lost our way and the kids get too hungry. There are pretty good signage leading to the hotel though I feel that it could be leading us a longer route to the hotel.

Despite reading some negative reviews about the slow check in process, it was not the case for us. Check in was rather quick without much fuss for the 2 rooms we booked, the special request was fulfilled as well, a plus point for the service. We were greeted by a beautiful and spacious room along with some pretty nice view, partial seaview. The children had their shower and we head out for an early dinner followed by shopping and dessert at Nadeje crepe which is a must have in Malacca! Definitely worth the queue and even all of them who do not fancy pastries enjoyed it.  More shopping afterwhich and another supper meal near the hotel, ended the day with an early good night rest!

Day 2
Did not make an effort to wake earlier too though we are concern about the crowded breakfast crowd as read. Well it was not that bad, crowded yes but we could get food comfortably and dishes were replenished quick enough. Varieties was reasonably good and food was so-so. Post breakfast, had our shower and took the shuttle service to Jonker Street! Another must have will be chicken rice balls and chendol coupled with shopping for local delicacies. We had Chung Hwa chicken rice balls which is over rated big time and over priced but at least we tried!
As the weather is getting to everyone with the mum complaining non stop, all plans were foiled and waited for the shuttle bus back to hotel which is a big mistake as we are unsure of the schedule and wasted a lot of time waiting with hardly any shade. Some unhappiness for the rest of the day, not going to mention more.

After the grouchy ones rested for the noon and the sun is setting, we took the shuttle back to Jonker Street again with the intention to try out the popular peranakan food, Nancy's kitchen. Before setting off, obtained hotel's help to call for a reservation for the teochew food but they are full for the next few days, lunch and dinner! Unfortunately Nancy's kitchen is also closed for dinner so we had to look for alternative, settled for the other only available peranakan food.
Day 3
Following day was pretty laid back, breakfast, shower, packing, whisked off for lunch at Old Town plus quick last minute shopping before making our way home at about 5pm. Took a wrong route but still managed through, reaching home safely at about 8pm.
