Happy Birthday Daddy! Come same period next year, Zethan will be celebrating our birthdays with us!
As you might have noticed, mummy is getting the hang of calling Zethan instead of the usual BB term. Mummy and Daddy have more or less firmed up on BB's name to be Zethan Yeo. Assumed to be pronounced as 'Zee-than' (do let us know if we have not got it right). Tummy talk time have been replaced gradually with addressing Zethan more than BB.

mummy seem to be a bottomless pit for the past week, appear to be going through a growth spurt! The festive season adds on and is definitely not helping much. she has been eating lots yet still feeling hungry at regular intervals. over eating is one she is trying to avoid due to the aftermath being bad heartburn and acid reflux with a bad burning osephagus however she is always feeling like she have not had enough food! can get rather tricky!

she experience lots of pressure and pain in the pelvic area and is having a tough time trying to wake up in the morning for work. Turning in bed become much more of a chore not to mention the midnight peeing which will keep her awake for like more than 1/2 hr before she can resume her sleep.

she is getting really forgetful these days, forgot about consuming bird nest at night and paosheng in the morning. Although it's habitual to take her supplements 1st thing in the morning, she will wonder near noon if she had remembered to do so. Her skin get really oily (not just the face but body as well) and her face and nose tend to swell a little more obvious in the night possibly due to water retention.

Mood swing lurking around constantly and she can get pretty emotional and touchy over the slightest trivial matter. Citing an example which occur just yesterday. Supposedly to be celebrating daddy's birthday by going for Dimsum buffet in the afternoon. Daddy woke up pretty late and was lukewarm about where to have his birthday meal. Mummy was trying hard to search online on alternatives yet daddy immediately head for his gaming session after washing up and a light 'brunch aka snack'. This dillying and dallying make it quite impossible to stick with the supposedly planned Dimsum Hi-Tea. It wasn't long before mummy gets agitated and feeling hungry, went to cook herself instant noodle! Took a good 5mins for daddy to realise mummy is having instant noodles and her tears rolled automatically when daddy asked why she is having instant noodles instead! Apparently that caught daddy by surprise and he was helpless and shocked for a while. Mummy on the other hand was mummbling the reason she's angry over with her 'tap' turned on.

When mummy cool down and resumed back to her old self, she reminded daddy that the next time should this happen again, knowing jolly well that she's angry, the last thing daddy should do is to avoid talking to her, pacify her before her emotion worsen. Of course daddy's theory is when mummy is fuming mad, talking to her is as good as adding fuel to fire which apparently isn't what mummy think. Well, hope that daddy knew how to respond in future although mummy certainly do not wish to look forward to a possible next time. (mummy feel a little guilty while blogging, poor daddy have to put up with her nonsense and mood swings. Imagine such a thing have to happen to dampen the jovial occasion of celebrating his birthday! Sorry daddy!)

To sum up daddy's birthday celebration, finally decided to have a simple dinner and make up for it next week since it's our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Off we went in the evening to the newly opened Sembawang Shopping Centre for Aston Specialities.
Completed more laundry over the weekend. Fitted sheets, blankies, pillow cases, tummy time mat and infat car seat padding etc.

Merry Christmas!

weight ~ 69kg

BB Zethan, mummy and daddy wishes everyone a Blessed and Merry Christmas!!!

A day before christmas eve, mummy went shopping at Takashimaya alone and she was amazed that she have the energy to shop for almost 4 hours alone, lugging 2 big bags of stuff!

Mummy shopped for some xmas presents for Nicky and Aunty Joyce's kiddies. As usual, she is indecisive thus had to walk a few rounds before she is certain what to by for the kids. As mummy and daddy will be attending a xmas party tomorrow, she need to get a gift for exchange as well!

On Christmas eve, after working for half day, mummy wanted to go shopping again. So daddy accompany mummy to Takashimaya again and they went for lunch at Yoshinuya before the long shopping trip again. Mummy wanted to buy daddy a wallet for his upcoming birthday but after walking around, he did not manage to find any that caught his fancy thus we decide to hold it till after xmas (perhaps will have post xmas sale!)

mummy bought another FP toy for BB as she is guilty that she is buying toys for other kids but not BB Zethan! Torn between 2 FP toys, she decide on this set of cute nestling toy cars as mummy remembers that BB have not had any toy cars as yet!

Mummy and daddy then proceed to buy a log cake for today's xmas party and they bought a Blackforest Log Cake from Crystal Jade. They went to grab some munchies as well as they are anticipating that the party should start late tonight. It is much more crowded in the food hall as compared to the shopping mall!

The potluck party was great, not to mention the company and mummy ate so much food, simply can't stop eating as she is so hungry when the party only starts at close to 9+pm. Some photos from the party thanks to the uncles and aunties. It was a tiring and fun day, reaching home close to 3+am.

Xmas day was 'wasted' as mummy slept thru almost the whole day perhaps as she had a tiring day yesterday. Woke up near noon to have her 'brunch' and when mummy and daddy could not decide on where to go, she went for a cat nap which is like 1+hr, only waking in the evening.

Went to the nearby shopping mall for our 'xmas dinner'. Food is great and economically priced!

recently noticed that mummy's nose seem to swell a little and daddy called her Jacky Cheng and she appear to have abit of swelling on her face as well.

For the past few days, she experience bad pain on the left side of the butt / pelvic which is worsen when she changed side while sleeping. Out of the blue, her left thumb become numb while in the shower after she attempt to turn on the faucet and it last for a good one week, still counting.

mummy and daddy went to see Dr Woody and was glad that Baby is growing well and of an average weight of 2309g. Mummy did her Streptococcus B swab test which cost $50+ and she spoke to Dr Woody about cordblood banking as well as crampings and contractions. Next visit shall be 2 weeks later.

mummy was really mad with daddy as she's disallowed to attend a friend's wedding ceremony with lots of excuses related to superstitious beliefs. While mummy is elated over the protective nature of daddy and he is expressing concern over Baby, however she is upset that he ignored her despite the clear indications that mummy is fuming mad! So mad she was that she decided to play the missing game with daddy by 'disappearing' for the whole day while her car remains in the carpark. She went shopping at the Gemmill sales with some of the Jan MTBs and ignore daddy's call for the whole day, an eye for an eye! She bought more clothings for and some of them are realli worth buying. Lootz to be posted seperately!

Attended Rick and Angelyn's wedding dinner at Inter-continental and the ballroom is ravishing. Bride is so elegant and bridegroom so stylo!
Mummy did Baby's laundry for the weekend and managed to compete 2 loads of hand me downs this week. Next coming up will be all the bedding accessories e.g. fitted sheet, cot bumpers as well as stroller padding, car seat padding, cloth nappies, blankets, hankies etc. Mummy and daddy spent the whole saturday afternoon to clear the horrendous mess in the living room and part of the storeroom to make way for storing Baby's stuff.
On a side note, the Jan mtbs are starting to pop like popcorns! Till date there's 5 graduates and 2 more in the pipeline for tomorrow, making mummy nervous and panicky!

mummy and Baby took our very 1st young coconut yesterday, having lugged 3 back from Giant on sat.

it took quite some effort to identify and confirm which is the right type of coconut suitable for mummy to consume as most of the coconuts in the supermarket are removed of their green outer shell. However mummy was pleased to find them as it is in the supermarket thus explaining why lugging 3 big and heavy coconuts back.

why coconut? it was believed that Baby will be delivered much 'cleaner' without much vernix while some other beliefs include easier/smoother delivery etc (any other beliefs you might have been told?). Taking those beliefs with a pinch of salt, mummy's main purpose of consuming the coconut is to relieve the heatiness that is building within her for some cooling effect.

daddy did a considerably good job in trying to 'chop' an opening in the coconut. hw skillful it must be for those hawkers who are able to chop such a beautiful opening!

daddy's artwork after a good 5 mins and many 'karate chops'!

it was indeed refreshing and nice, mummy enjoy every bits of it including abit of flesh although she's not supposed to have it as it's known to be heaty.

on a side note, Baby is hyperactive today with lots of vigorous movements which cause mummy quite alot of pain near the ribcage. at one point the pain feel like that of a bruise otherwise squeezy and knotting.

clumsy mummy nearly trip again when she kicked into the kerb behind her car. luckily she managed to gain her balance and prevent hitting her tummy too, phews!

mummy have been feeling very uncomfortable these days with the same old discomfort and complains as before - pain in the ribcage, chest, lots of pressure and pain in the groin and pelvic region. To add on heartburn has turned from managable to experiencing hot burning throat every night. Yes, weird as it sound mainly only at night. Wondering if mummy is too heaty or possibly heartburn.

Just the other day while mummy is preparing for bedtime, she lie down on her left side and suddenly felt a painful stretchy hard lump on her tummy which gave her a good fright. Calming down, she assumed that it's Baby's fist/elbow/knee protruding so she smiled to herself while soothing it off!

Even while walking at very slow granny's pace, the pain in the groin never failed to appear. It does make mummy panicky and wonder if it's any tell tale signs from Baby that he's greeting us soon! Meanwhile mummy just have to pacify Baby and let him know that it's too soon and time is not ripe yet.

Mummy is pleased that we have finally purchased a chest of drawers from Ikea for Baby. Although the 4 chest of drawers might not be sufficient end of the day for Baby's stuff, it should suffice at least as for now. Time to wash and organise Baby's stuff progressively!

Over the long weekend, mummy and daddy attended a friend's wedding and on sunday she pester daddy to the various ongoing warehouse sales. First stop was Meiji sales and most of the foodstuff were having short expiry date but they are really cheap. Bearing in mind that Baby will be making his appearance in Jan, daddy caution mummy not to buy too much. Next we went to Mattel sales where there are supposed to be good buys for Fisher Price toys! As we reached there rather late, it's only 30 mins before they close and so mummy and daddy decide to return another day to shop instead.

Now as the next day is a public holiday, mummy and daddy make their way to the Mattel sales once again and this time much earlier to have sufficient time to shop. They spent a total of close to 1.5 hours there and mummy make daddy spend a total of $231 which daddy is making a big fuss. These are the loots from the Mattel sales for Baby, isn't he a lucky baby to have so much toys awaiting for his arrival.

The rest of the day was spent on clearing out the corner in mummy and daddy's room to make way for Baby's cosy corner. So we set up Baby's cot and shifted the newly purchased chest of drawers next to it, all done after 4 hours of hardwork!
