A great gift we received!Instinctively, I had a strong feel that we have had the gift few days before it is due. as the saying goes, the higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment. Whatever is meant to be is meant to be. Harboring this thought, made the decision not to confirm too early!
The days past, no sign of AF but other symptoms instead, getting really excited yet trying hard to curb the escalating excitement. Set myself a date for a Yes or No, make it 13 Nov 2011, Sunday. Nothing auspicious about this date, just that it is a Sunday and will be 4 days overdue. A Sunday so that if there is good news, the hub can share the joy immediately.
Without the hub's knowledge, quietly test with a cheapo HPT. Pretending that the dipstick never exist, continue to wash up, sneaking a peek or two in the direction of the stick. Within minutes, 2 lines showed! Double checked with the instruction, YES! Brought the stick out, walked to the hub, exclaimed in a uber cool tone. "this is for not believing my instinct!" the hub smiled.
Clearly both of us happy like a bird, our gift finally!
Just so difficult to contain our excitement and the urge to share with everybody the presence of our gift!
