Heartbeat

Visited Dr Woody 2 weeks back, the first visit. The wait wasn't too bad but the consultation is super chop chop. I did not even manage to plant my butt on the chair! Ultrasound showed sac only with gestation of around 5 weeks 6 days. Was rather worried dat no foetus can be seen yet especially so after comparing with Zethan's ultrasound (yes, all kept in the dry cabinet)!

The past 2 weeks were accompanied with nausea, bloatedness, heartburn. More so in the last week thus feeling very lethargic and spent a few afternoons taking naps with Zethan.

The wait at Woody today is madness. Zethan isn't helping much and add on to my impatience. Not a single minute he is quiet, mummy this, mummy that, climbing here, climbing there, woody here, woody there. Got on my nerve big time! Walked into his room and Zethan refuse to leave me alone thus Woody told him to come along for the scan. He is so funny, trying to tilt the monitor for Zethan and describe the heartbeat as "can you see the train engine blinking away?!!" (he even notice the Percy Z is holding and ask is dat Thomas or who is that?)

A rare surprise was asking me to sit on the chair and asking "any questions?" shoot some questions about nausea and heartburn but unfortunately not much remedy for both. Billy asked about the size of the foetus expressing my concern the last visit. Woody said of a normal size and if we are concern, will change the next appointment from the intended 3 weeks to 2 weeks later. On my end, asked about Oscar assessment appointment, as nearer to date might be bad timeslot and limited dates just like Zethan's time. He said if we would like to, we can fix an appointment now and was given the period of 2nd to 6th Jan 2012 when we are in our 12th week. We chose a Wednesday afternoon which is 4th Jan, details to be confirmed after the nurse called for an appointment.

Next appointment to pay balance package amount. Duphaston reduced to twice a day. Had the 1st urine test.

We are just so happy to be able to see the heartbeat today!
